Another Fantastic Event!
I am truly blown away by the success of our Winter Hubs, reaching nearly 50 people in just three months—absolutely phenomenal!
This month, we hosted Harmony and Hospitality, an afternoon filled with music, laughter, and community spirit. The incredible Adam Whitmee, currently touring the UK as Frankie Valli in the No.1 tribute show The Jerseys, delivered an unforgettable performance. Guests enjoyed a beautiful afternoon tea buffet, kindly provided by Tayla from Wiltshire Farm Foods, along with hot and cold drinks. We also held a fantastic raffle, with generous donations from local businesses and even some of our attendees.
As the room filled up, I was overjoyed to see familiar faces and even more delighted to welcome so many newcomers. The atmosphere was electric as Adam wowed us with hits from Elvis to The Rubettes, leaving many in the room speechless at his incredible vocal talent.
The feedback we received was outstanding, and we are so proud to have created something so special for our community.
With over 30 raffle prizes donated—including bottles of wine, gin, flowers, pamper sets, and vouchers (who wouldn’t love £25 at Trading Post?)—it was truly heartwarming to see so much generosity.
Most importantly, we successfully raised £100, which we secretly set aside for Adam’s 9-year-old daughter, who is bravely battling cancer. The donation will go towards little treats for her during their dream trip to Disney World. Adam was completely taken aback by the support, and it was our small way of thanking him for performing for us free of charge.
A huge thank you to everyone who attended and supported this event—we couldn’t do it without you!
We can’t wait to see you all at our next event: Burton Bake Off on April 29, 2025, at Burton Latimer Community Centre!
See you soon!
